At the end of the two day Cost Engineering Event 2009, four lucky winners took home some incredible prizes. The winners were drawn from a quote competition which was run on both days of the event. Inspired by a quote received from a visitor of a previous edition of the Cost Engineering Event, the Cost Engineering team asked all participants to finish one of two sentences to make great quotes. The best quotes were then selected and two winners chosen per day. As all winners would receive a one year license to Cleopatra Entprise with Cost Engineering data, the interest in the competition was great. This made it quite a challenge for the jury to pick the winning quotes.
These were the winning quotes for the first day:
“Cost engineering is vital to an organisation because it gives the organisation the possibility to stay in front of the cost development”
By entering this quote, Mr. J. Johansen of BIS Production Partner from Norway won himself second prize.
The first prize was won by R. Mueller of OMV from Austria with the quote:
“Cost engineering is vital to an organisation because transparancy in cost development will keep you in the market!”

On the second day we had an even larger group of contestants than the first day. These were the quotes that won the prizes on the second day:
"I loved the Cost Engineering Event because the only thing that grows when you share it, is knowledge."
This quote delivered Mr. Erik Schulte of Witteveen + Bos from the Netherlands second prize.
And the final winner at the Cost Engineering Event 2009 was Mr. Carlo Holvoet of Technip Benelux B.V. in Belgium who sent in the following quote:
"Cost engineering is vital to an organization because no organization can be successful without knowing its costs."

The second prize winners took home a one year license for the hosted version of Cleopatra Enterprise and a one year license for the hosted Cost Engineering Knowledgebases. On top of this both first prize winners took home a digital photo frame. Cost Engineering congratulates all winners with their prizes.
